An important question to ask ourselves: When was the last time we went on an exclusive date as husband and wife? Think about it. How often do we make time for each other as husband and wife? Exclusively, without our kids around?
It’s critical to make time for each other, to be present to each other, on a regular basis. This is an essential component of being gift to our spouse, in and through our body. You can do it. You must do it, for the sake of your marriage, for the sake of your kids, your family. Your marriage is a key foundation for your kids to flourish in.
If you need to, enlist the help of in-laws, siblings, relatives or friends you can trust to help with your kids. When you’re with each other, please put that mobile phone aside, or at least put it to silent
On these couple dates, do not just talk about the logistics of the home and kids. Instead, share deeply with each other, lovingly with each other, what is on our mind and in our heart.
Go for your dates at least once a week, if not more. And why not start this week? You won’t regret it. Be not afraid to love.
