Love, Marriage and the Mystery of Sex (for Married Couples)

Love, Marriage and the Mystery of Sex (for Married Couples)

(8 Hours)

Why do we have sexual desire? What is eros all about? What is marriage for? What is God’s plan for us? What does marriage point us to? Do we face issues in our married life? Or our sex life? Do we sometimes feel the fuel in our “love tank” is running on empty? What can we do about it? How can we refuel our “love tank” to bring back the passion into our marriage?

Come and find out the answers to these questions and more as we explore them through the lens of the Theology of the Body at a day of prayer and recollection, where we not only seek to be informed, but more importantly to be transformed by our Lord.

Outline of session 1 (9.00am to 12 noon):
1. Introduction to the TOB
2. Understanding the Engine that drives our marriage (Creation of the Body)
3. When the Engine falters (Redemption of the Body)

Outline of session 2 (1.00pm to 4.00pm):
1. Powering us to heaven (Marriage as divine gift and human sign of divine love)
2. Keeping the engine fuelled up (Theology in the bedroom)
3. Marital Sex – Agony or Ecstasy?

The sessions are not meant to be merely informative. They are meant to be transformative as we allow our Lord to redeem us with His grace and mercy.
